Family & Community Medicine
The Department of Family and Community Medicine conducts research, education and patient care in the general practice of medicine and it provides continuing medical education programs for medical professionals. Our mission is to promote the health of individuals, families, and communities through excellent community based teaching, research, and service in the fields of family and community medicine.
Areas of special expertise include preventive medicine, community medicine, geriatrics and international health. Major areas of research include geriatrics, rehabilitation, nutrition and education.
